Sonny Blaze® is a progressive, award winning designer specializing in fine jewelry. Sonny Blaze® joins his artistic vision and gemological skills to create heirloom quality luxury pieces by utilizing state-of-the-art CAD/CAM technology combined with old world artisan skilled manufacturing.

Sonny Blaze® embodies the passion of an artist and the expertise of a gemologist. From a very young age Sonny, born Sonny Martinez, has had a love of drawing, music and design. At 19 years old, he was introduced to the jewelry industry and began to merge his artistic aspirations and his thirst for knowledge. He started his journey in customer service. From there, he went on to study at the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) in New York City where he gained critical industry skills. He relocated to Colorado and worked in traditional retail fine jewelry but eventually found his way back to New York, working at the GIA headquarters in several capacities including being part of an elite team of fancy colored diamond specialists.
Sonny continued his work at the GIA Laboratory in Carlsbad, CA in the same capacity but with oceanfront views. With a move to Los Angeles, he became part of Michael Beaudry’s team, sharing his expertise as a diamond specialist and being a frontman for Beaudry’s Beverly Hills location.
To date, Sonny has been working very closely with award winning jewelry designers Ricardo Basta and Ernie Eichberg at Eichberg Jewelers. Most recently, Sonny contributed to the development of Ultimate Ears Pro’s UE Switch and launched the revolutionary CODA™ faceplates.
